Developed in a partnership between MTU, ITP, Rolls-Royce and Safran Helicopter Engines, the MTR390 family is specially designed to offer excellent performances in very demanding and combat environments. With high growth potential, the engine powers attack helicopters in the 6 to 7 ton class.

MTR390 is installed in all Airbus Tiger attack helicopter variants (HAP, HAD, and ARH).
